PT, LYMPHEDEMA THERAPIST

Cheryl graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and was the Student Representative for the Global Health Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Previously, Cheryl obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science specializing in Kinesiology from Queen’s University, where she worked in sport psychology and gained experience as a strength and conditioning coach. For the past two years, Cheryl has lived in Vancouver, BC where she practiced in a private practice setting. Specifically, she worked with patient who had traumatic injuries, orthopeadic surgeries, and those living with mental health issues and complex chronic disorders.   Cheryl is excited to join the team at Haley Rehab and to expand her orthopeadic knowledge into the field of lymphedema management and cancer rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve their individual goals through education, manual therapy, and developing unique, client-centered treatment programs. Cheryl encourages her client to actively participate in their treatment and believes in working together to achieve the best possible results.   Cheryl believes in keeping up with current research and she continuous to pursue new education opportunities and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in lymphedema management and compression therapy.   In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys hiking, being outdoors, painting and the violin.
