Physiotherapist

Sara graduated from McMaster University with a Master Of Science in Physiotherapy and the highest distinction of her graduating class, the Physiotherapy Advancement Award. Previously, Sara obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, also from McMaster University. Her professional experience began by working in acute care in Vancouver, BC where she developed her interest in Oncology. She also pursued an interest and opportunity in global health, travelling to Tanzania, East Africa where she helped establish a new private physiotherapy clinic within a community-based rehabilitation hospital. She has spent the last 7 years working in orthopaedics in the Greater Toronto Area.
Sara is excited to join the team at Haley Rehab and return to oncology rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve their best physical self through education, by providing treatment that is holistic and unique to each client’s goals. She encourages client’s to actively participate in their recovery process to get optimal results.
Sara believes in keeping up with current research and new techniques in order to provide evidence-based, client-centred care. She engages in continuing education courses each year and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in lymphedema management and compression therapy.
In her spare time, Sara enjoys running, yoga, baking, and reading.
