Physio-Pilates

What is Physio-Pilates?

Clinical Pilates, also known as Physio Pilates, is a form of Pilates developed by registered physiotherapists and based on modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation. All sessions are one-on-one and provided by a registered physiotherapist who is also a Pilates trained instructor specializing in rehabilitation.  Sessions focus on balancing muscular strength and flexibility, improving spinal alignment and establishing normal pain-free dynamic movement. The equipment is unique to Pilates and allows for progressive resistance while supporting injured and painful joints.  At Haley Rehab’s Wellness Studio, we are equipped with a Pilates reformer, Cadillac/trapeze table, spine corrector and other smaller pieces of equipment such as therapy balls, stability cushions, bands and rollers. Recognizing that movement dysfunction tends to lead to pathology or injury, and vice versa, our integrated approach to recovery at Haley Rehab, provides the best results when traditional physiotherapy is combined with Clinical Pilates.
